Terms & Conditions – On The Oche Events

These Terms & Conditions apply to all bookings made with On The Oche Events (“we”, “us”, “our”). By confirming a booking, the client (“you”, “your”) agrees to the following terms.

1. Booking & Payment Terms

1.1 Booking Methods

Bookings with On The Oche Events can be made either:

  • By contacting us directly via our contact form, email or social media.

1.2 Direct Bookings (Email, Phone, Social Media)

For bookings made by contacting us directly:

  • A 10% non-refundable deposit is required to secure the booking and date.

  • The remaining balance must be paid in full no later than 14 days before the event date.

  • If the remaining balance is not received by this time, we reserve the right to cancel the booking and retain the deposit.

1.4 Short Notice Bookings

For bookings made within 14 days of the event date, full payment will be required at the time of booking regardless of booking method.

1.5 Securing Your Booking

Your event date is not secured until:

  • Deposit has been received (direct bookings)

We operate on a first come, first served basis and cannot hold dates without payment.

1.6 Payment Methods

We accept payment via:

  • Bank Transfer

  • Secure Payment Link

Payment details will be provided on invoice or at the time of booking.

1.7 Payment PLANS

Payment plans accepted if event date is more than 3 months from booking date. Contact us to enquire.

2. Cancellation Policy

2.1 Deposits are non-refundable.

2.2 Cancellations made:

  • More than 14 days before the event: No further payment required beyond deposit.

2.3 We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule bookings due to unforeseen circumstances such as illness, equipment failure, extreme weather, or events outside our control. In this case, an alternative date or refund will be offered.

3. Setup & Space Requirements

3.1 The client must ensure sufficient space is available for the darts setup.

Typical space required:

  • 2.5m width

  • 4.5–5m depth

  • Minimum 2.4m height

3.2 The setup area must be:

  • Flat and stable

  • Safe and free from obstruction

  • Indoor or sheltered if outdoors

3.3 We require approximately 45-60 minutes for setup and 45-60 minutes for pack-down.

3.4 Parking or unloading access should be provided where possible.

4. Safety & Supervision

4.1 All darts activity is supervised by our on-site host.
4.2 Participants must follow safety instructions at all times.
4.3 Only one participant may throw at a time unless instructed otherwise.
4.4 No person may enter the throwing area while darts are in play.
4.5 Children must be supervised by a responsible adult.
4.6 We reserve the right to stop play if behaviour is unsafe.

5. Alcohol & Behaviour

5.1 Guests under excessive alcohol influence may not be permitted to participate.
5.2 Unsafe, aggressive, or inappropriate behaviour may result in suspension of activity.
5.3 No refund will be issued if service is suspended due to unsafe behaviour.

6. Equipment & Damage

6.1 All equipment remains the property of On The Oche Events.
6.2 The client is responsible for ensuring guests treat equipment with care.
6.3 Any damage caused by misuse, negligence, or failure to follow instructions may be charged to the client.

7. Insurance & Liability

7.1 We hold Public Liability Insurance.
7.2 Participation is at the individual’s own risk.
7.3 We are not liable for:

  • Injury caused by failure to follow safety instructions

  • Loss or damage to personal belongings

  • Incidents outside of our control

8. Outdoor Events & Weather

8.1 Outdoor setups must be sheltered from rain and strong wind.
8.2 We reserve the right to stop or cancel the activity if weather conditions are unsafe.
8.3 No refunds will be issued where weather prevents safe operation unless agreed otherwise.

9. Venue Requirements

9.1 It is the client’s responsibility to ensure the venue allows our setup.
9.2 We can provide risk assessments and insurance documents upon request.
9.3 We will operate in line with venue rules and regulations at all times.

10. Photography & Marketing

10.1 We may take photographs or videos during events for marketing purposes.
10.2 If you do not wish for media to be used, you must inform us in writing before the event.

11. Force Majeure

We shall not be held liable for failure to perform obligations due to events beyond our control including but not limited to:

  • Severe weather

  • Government restrictions

  • Venue closures

  • Transport disruption

  • Illness or emergencies

12. Agreement

By making a booking with On The Oche Events, you confirm that you have read and agree to these Terms & Conditions.
